## Description

This is the perfect opportunity to get a jump start in Algebra or Advanced Algebra 1! Join us each Monday at 12:00 pm to learn and solidify concepts in Algebra 1 and also the calculator skills needed to master these concepts. We will challenge students to use and think about how technology can be used to model, analyze and explain math with standards-aligned activities in different Algebra I topics.

For example:

Then students will calculate the output values for given input values using the distance formula d = 0.5at2 for when a = 12 ft/s2. The first set of input values are for t, and the second set of input values is for d.

Students will then explore using function notation on the calculator, entering input values to find the output value. The given function is stored in the Y= screen.

Plan to bring your graphing calculator to class!
