This is the perfect opportunity to get a jump start in Geometry or Advanced Geometry! Join us each Tuesday at 12:00 pm to learn and solidify concepts in Geometry and also the calculator skills needed to master these concepts. We will challenge students to use and think about how technology can be used to model, analyze and explain math with standards-aligned activities in different Geometry topics.
For example:
Students will explore distances in the coordinate plane. After finding the coordinates of a segment’s endpoints, students will substitute these values into the distance formula and compare the results to the measured length of the segment. Then students will find the distance between the endpoints using the Pythagorean Theorem.
