Chelsea Hall ACT Cram Session
Saturday, December 2nd, and Sunday, December 3rd, 2:30 – 5:30 pm
Chelsea Hall is pleased to offer our ACT Cram Session. This Prep Course is designed for students looking for an intensive, rigorous course of training to prepare for the June 10th or another upcoming test.
Getting an excellent ACT score is about understanding the test. The ACT has patterns that can be prepared for. Our tutors know these patterns and how to teach them. Over the two-day course, we will highlight the content and concepts you should know and testing strategies for the questions in the four sections of the ACT. There will also be a LOT of guided practice in our cram session! Before the session, students can come in during a time that works for their schedule to take additional practice tests any time Chelsea Hall is open! Practice is truly the key to success in a cram session!
A diagnostic test is an excellent starting point for this cram session. This will guide you and our tutor to the areas you need the most practice. If you attend the full course and all additional practice tests offered, you’ll get up to 17-20 hours of prep! To schedule a test, email us at register@chelseahall.com. Or call us at 817-912-1551. The test takes approximately 3 hours to complete and can be completed anytime during our business hours.
Our Cram Sessions are kept to a small group to allow each student to receive the guidance and support they need to achieve their highest score.
With four different passages tested in the ACT Reading section, it’s important to know where your strengths are! The passages focus on topics in social studies, natural sciences, prose fiction, and the humanities. With both literal and reasoning questions on these topics, we’ll give you the strategies and tips to move through these questions quickly!
Questions in the Science section cover data representation (graphs, tables, and other schematic forms), research summaries (descriptions of several related experiments), and conflicting viewpoints (expressions of several related hypotheses or views that are inconsistent with one another). This session provides strategies and tips to tackle these questions and review the essential science concepts that will be tested.
The Math section breaks down into 6 question types: pre-algebra, elementary algebra, and intermediate algebra questions; plane geometry and coordinate geometry questions; and trigonometry questions. Our boot camp provides guided review and practice over these questions, along with strategies and tips to prepare the student for this section of the ACT.
Even students who excel with writing and grammar in school can struggle with ACT English because the test has its own logic. What can be more confusing are the ACT English grammar rules that are tested in this section. Our English session will focus on the grammar rules that comprise the two question categories found in this section. Strategies, tips, guided practice, and exercises will prepare the student for this section of the PreACT.
All materials will be provided.
**The Cram Session is not designed to replace a standard or long-term study program, but it is excellent if you have a limited amount of study time or have already taken an ACT Prep Course or the Test and need an extra boost!
Chelsea Hall goes beyond just SAT prep. We will be with you throughout the entire college admission process, offering consultation at the beginning steps of college application all the way through to “hitting the submit button,” making us everything you need from start to finish.
